Tomorrow By Chris Mlalazi

"Tomorrow"

We want to live...
In a tomorrow;
Where our past
Can be looked at with pride,
And not the shame
Of rotting corpses behind bushes,
Raped mothers,
traumatized orphans
and brothers and sisters
skedaddling all over the world in terror

Of an uncertain future.

Taste in Music

I have such a good taste in music...
Every time my thoughts speak
My tongue spits lyrics!!!

Sometimes my heart sings -
To  its beats' instrumental

But this song pumps through without vocals,
But this song plays in my head so its mental

But this song carries me on,
So now I call it "Special"

Like life -
Like my love life's right
It's life - like so in turn I love life
When the melody is produced by notes struck right!!!

Fluid rhythms from a  set piece
Brass and strings
Percussion and woodwind
Harmonies,
Harmoniously produced in harmony,
By harmonicas
Played by the brunette from across the street Lisa Monica

Hello
Flutes sound so mellow
Bright days and daisies yellow
Reminders and real tests of mettle
As hard as a bow on a cello
While you go high on my poems like stilettos
Painting Bulawayo with words from burbs to the ghetto

Charming pieces of music in me
Possessing elements of Mozart earnestly
My palms are annotated with notations
Of half notes and sixteen quotes
That's why I communicate my passion
Through all these blogger posts:

Music is the race
So I play the sport

Music is the race,
So I carry the torch

Capitalist Perspective...

Who am I?

Just another victim of the system
Swallowed by corporate greed...
Fulfilling the objectives of the capitalists
With capital interests to financially succeed
To bring down your dignity to a proprietors creed

Never seeing the trouble progression is the blinded need
With haste, the system puts you in production line
Increase your pace, increase your speed
Blood and sweat, if you cant keep up
There is the door for you to leave
"In Gold We Trust"

A thousand civilians
To their pockets
I am a financial villain

First Rains

Last night the first rains fell ...
Last night,
God's Grace I felt

The manifestation of a new hope...

Along with the promise of a fruitful season.

I watched as the first rains fell last night:

I watched in the dark as the dry earth cried tears ...

Beautiful tears, that brought back life.

As each droplet fell from the open sky,

As each droplet of faith percolated into the ground...

Last night,

I watched as the first rains fell.

Gentle Breeze

Gentle breeze:
Whispering winds;
Tamed gales..

Take me,
Ferry me,
I have spread my wings
To your nature;
My discordant voice sings
To an Island  -

Take me away;
And place me to a piece of land,
Isolated by water,

Take me away;
And place me in a fort of solitude;
Surrounded by memories of Edward and Clarisse;
That cast a smile on my face;
And masks my tears ...

Take me away;
Oh, gentle breeze!!!
To my fort...
Where I draw strength from the beauty of words;
Where my might lies in scribbling scrolls of thoughts
At my experiences costs
Speaking of all those losses that transform me to a formidable force
And impart beliefs I shan't divorce
 In metaphoric courts

Take me away;
You tamed gales
To an island:
Scaled gray -
Shaded in black and white
With waves of water kissing the shores
Gently caressing the soles
Of my feet
My legs immersed in the mud
An emblem of my troubles
Erased by bodies of water that nibble the earth and pull back

Take me to an island
Where a former love
Makes merry with a little child

Take me to an island,
So that when I get there
I will spread my hands out
And arm the caption with a smile

Basking in God's Grace -
And leave a trail of happiness
Take flight in shades;
And keep time on my wrist;
Ask a companion to freeze this moment,
Capture it on a picture and own it.

A Verse For Harvest

A verse for harvest

 A reason to praise...

 Fruits of an academic voyage
Against the odds of economic bondage

 All in His name
 Thanks all due
 Faith in Him as promises delivered as true

 A verse for harvest
 A season to change

To learn to thank God for all strength
Counting life’s blessings
Harvest celebration

 A verse for harvest
Believing and faith
The chance to give back

 Watch as my seed grows
 I am fruitful as my bowl has fruits full
 And multiply my blessings through the multiplication of seeds
 Such as prayer and faith, song and health
Sowing into the ground as waters of hard work continue flowing

 When the grass is green, lash
And the granary is filled to the bream
When the ground I tread on is fertile
 And rainfall and sunshine come in adequate amounts
When the seeds have been planted
And the harvest is safeguarded
 I will sing a verse for harvest

 I sing it now, I sing it forever more

A verse for harvest
