Is It True?

                                                      Tell me something...
Is it true that you can laugh everything away?

That you and I can ; Isolate ourselves from reality
                                                     To share a laugh?

                                    Up the anthill...surrounded by others,
Futile in their attempts to get to the apex

(A place were only you and I reside)
Watch me - chattering frantically as my hands rigorously let loose and clasp the air (motion)

Your retaliation; Looking down upon me, bickering with your tail lacking action

Your fur masks the stupidity that we both posses, yet we still laugh
At the apex of the anthill
Oh how life has turned out...

Our environment - a small shrub that teases our hunger
                                                        Two more like us

In a Savannah whose hope lies in the depths of the waters of the lake - not more than a stone throw  away
Come we shall laugh it all off

                                                         After all senior...

It is true that you can laugh everything away!!!

Sunset

The sun slowly sinks back into the earth to set
A little orange ball glowing red with its beautiful rays of light gently caressing the ripples of the lake's waters

A frame is captured in one's mind:

Peace

The waters are still: creating a calm that speaks to your inner soul
A beauty indescribable, merely by a set of words
A beauty touched only by one's conscience

Glancing into this horizon traps a troubled mind into an island of reflection
The result: an appreciation of Mother Nature.
Once a force, raging with destruction: the waters, the wind mellow down (It is Well)
Calm - a feeling that overwhelms the air: Forms of life , for the day had been alive pay tribute:

That they had a life.

Retiring and appreciating as the sun sets on yet another chapter
Still - yet still the swamps tarnish not this image, an additional accessory to accentuate the remarkable outlook.

The mountainsides bow down as they fade away into the fog of peace, that blankets the sun
Whisky clouds whisper lullaby's to the earth, the birds hum along(It is well)

"Peace be still
Like a child
The winds obey Him
When He sets peace"

Daddy's Gone

Daddy's gone

She grows up being labelled "damaged goods"
Is this because of an absent father?

Or the presence of an abusive stepfather
That scars her for life

Brand her incapable
Of forming a deep emotional bond

The only bonds kept together
Are those of suspicion and naivety

Her heart:
A bottomless pit of emotional need

And the worst part comes next,
It can not be filled!

The absence of a father or the relation with her daddy
Gave her daddy issues

Everytime daddy came around,
She would have to get "daddy make me cry" tissues

What do you expect?
No self respect

She can't bream
With a high self esteem
Bringing the heat as they second as drama queens

Its valid to say
They seek to validate through seeking attention
Validation: the act that masks real insecurities

On the surface: looking calm
On the surface:

An illusion
So don't ignore their emotional need

Lest they render their cunning abilities, their propensity to manipulate, their capability to exploit, they are cynic

Victims?
So it seems
Shattered dreams,

Constantly in denial...
Lowered self esteem

The ones who care less have the most power...

A Legacy of Excellence

Here, have a drink
Let me give you Alcohol's Ode

*****CLEARING THROAT****

Alcohol:
A social lubricant;
A legacy of excellence!!!

An old anti-dote;
To society’s dissimilarities…

Unity through Vodka?
Thank the Russians!

We have become one brand
Through glasses of brandy,

Gullibly amalgamated,
Over a tot of whisky.

Gossip forgotten,
Three ciders later

And finally,
A bond created over a mug of beer!!!

From kegs to calabashes
Dissimilarities celebrated

Friction squashed
Myths quashed

Clear or opaque
Beer celebrates differences
And does not question your DNA make

Smooth or thick
Ciders can make the shy to speak
Aperitifs’ can sit you down for a lesson to teach

Original or fake
Wine accommodates all, of all skins it takes

Matured or dry
Sherry tells no lies

Cool down your spirits
Let me hand you a spirit cooler

Yes,
Alcohol;
A social lubricant

Is indeed a legacy of excellence!!!

House of Stone

The House of stone -

A conical tower;
Standing more than a thousand stones tall.
Royal works expressing native majesty
No foreign dilutions in the creation of this dome.
Towers iconically standing in the shape of a cone.

Fort Victoria: built on a fortress
Poised for warriors victory!
Fifteenth century Mutapa;
The Rozvi
Laying in granites layers - builders of stone talking an untold story
Of Great Zimbabwe's glory
When the fortress crumbled, blood was spilled and it became untold gory
Tribes that went on to reside
Shielded their integrity using cow hides
Kings, Princes ruling over multitudes of lives
In the age of Iron
A time when a royal fist was best fit by this palace

A nation,
Held together
Cohesion?
Standing tall...No mortar!
Dzimba dza Mabwe -
House whose foundations tremble with granite

Ancient civilisation
An Iron-smith's ingenuity.
The Africa's pay tribute:
Ode to this formidable repository of our cultural heritage!

The writer is wise (Earnestly)
The kingdom of Zimbabwe, immortalized by eight birds
That flew away in cages to lands unknown
Slowly making their way back home
Wondering if they ever will...
Slipped away like soapstones
Carved - chirps of glory
...splinter the people ordinary

- Ransacked by mercenaries.

I tried this level to reach this
Amazed of African riches
You won't believe this
Sowing seeds of gold
Such that granite steps would glow

Nyatsimba Mutota!!!
I cant believe such a great empire would fall!?

I turned away a hand that needed help...

I turned away a hand that needed help...
Stretched,
Flaccid,
Dejected,
Rejected,

Wilted;
Seeking a gesture of kindness,
Requited by a head looking away
Tilting into another direction;
Opposing were hope was looking~
No hope here:
Replaced by a shadow of its former self

A vessel filled with hopelessness, emptied hope...
That which his soul craves and hungers

The hand I turned away...
Needed help...
.
